Richard Spell

Michael Schutte, from The Netherlands, is an artist who paints romantic realism.

After a thorough study of the Old Masters of The

Hague School in Holland, Michaels Soon built up an appreciative clientele.

After many "painting holidays" on Vancouver Island Michael and his wife, Els, decided to move from Holland to Canada. They settled down in Parksville, because 

they love the space, the people and above all the beautiful light and nature.

Michael is well versed in all types of art but has developed his own unique style over the years.

He has had many exhibitions of his work in 

Galleries in both The Netherlands and USA. 

Michael has a growing number of admirers in Canada.

and his paintings have been sold on the Island and in Vancouver, Calgary and Newfoundland.

 

Michael designs paintings for 3-D sheets for his talented wife Els. Thanks to the famous publisher, Le Suh in Europe, his work can be seen all over the world. He also hosts a show on local television ( Shaw TV Chanel 105) teaching painting techniques while sharing glimpses of places, past and present, that have influenced his art.

Michael also made designs for Heartfelt Creations.

 

Through his exclusive art club, Michael also teaches painting classes.

He shares the secrets of the famous Dutch masters like Koekoek, Neuhuys and Andreas Schelfhout who were famous because of their romantic skies. 

Students can learn these secrets, which are not available in any art books, and apply them to their own paintings.

 

Els Schutte is a great paper artist and makes the most wonderful cards, boxes, albums, etc... she has even made a mini-album for Oprah!

She also makes African statues.
